Dacey Rd. Housing Project

The Missanabie Cree Business LP and Daniel Fremlin Developments are partnering up to construct new affordable and market housing in Sault Ste. Marie.

The partnership will construct, own and operate a total of 53 new rental housing units in the east end of the city located on the rear lands of the former St. Huberts Elementary School on Dacey Road. Construction of the first 15 units has commenced, and the remaining buildings will break ground during the summer of 2026. Occupancy of the first units is anticipated by the end of

June, with the balance opening later in 2027. The development will include a mix of brand new, modern two and three bedroom units, including row houses and duplexes, all with their own single car garage. The development site is located on a City transit route and in close proximity to daycare, schools, parks and other amenities.

Currently as building development commences, applications will be announced at a later date.
